The Ramírez family is from a small town called La Piedad, in the state of Michoacán in Mexico.

With Don Maguey Mexican Restaurant here at Cottage Grove, we are using bold flavors and the best ingredients, we proudly create a modern “Don Maguey Mexican Restaurant”

Chef Alex Ramirez was inspired by his childhood in La Piedad in this latest project, so I look for a menu that is loaded with classics and merge it with the modernity of Mexican cuisine. A bar focused on tequila and mezcal and Margaritas has also helped make this a destination that offers salads, tacos, burritos, bowls, and quesadillas in a sophisticated, cool, and casual setting. Our versatile menu is based on traditional Mexican recipes and naturally accommodates a variety of preferences, including vegetarian.

This modern and concept of Don Maguey Mexican Restaurant offers different flavors that each culture has brought to the city of Michoacán such as tacos, ceviches and tostadas, along with dishes that are not typically seen on Mexican menus.
